General Information

TERMATEX ceramic fibre is made of silica and alumina powder in an almost perfect state. It is characterised by its excellent heat resistant properties and high resistance to thermal shock. In the manufacturing process, allow wire inserts are incorporated to TERMATEX ceramic fibre yarns in order to increase its tensile strength. Glass filament inserts are used in applications where electrical resistance is required.

+ 1260ºC (F.Cerámica+Inconel ).
+ 800ºC ( F.Cerámica +Vidrio)

0,8-1,2 gr/cm3

Applications

It is basically used for passive fire and heat protection in appliances such as industrial furnaces, electric furnaces, boilers, heaters and other in general equipment, as well as in a wide range of high-temperature appliances. It is used in the manufacture of welding screens, screens for separating heated areas, expansion joints, personal protective equipment, etc.
