General Information
NBR is a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene, a synthetic rubber with excellent resistance to hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, transmission fluids and other non-polar petroleum-based products. It is also resistant to atmospheric agents and water. In contrast, it has poor resistance to acetone, hydrocarbons and chlorine. It has good mechanical resistance. Its qualities make it ideal for contact with foodstuffs.

Main properties
- Good mechanical properties
- Excellent resistance to oils, lubricants and greases
- Good resistance to atmospheric agents
- Moderate resistance to ageing
- Homologated for use with food
Applications
It is used for the manufacture of gaskets and all types of components for the food industry. It is used in environments in which attack from oil and grease must be prevented, whilst maintaining the mechanical properties of components. Gasket seals, o-rings, sleeves, etc.

Sleeves
We manufacture vulcanised sleeves in any type of rubber (SBR, NBR, EPDM, silicone, Viton®, brown natural rubber, etc.) using a hot-vulcanising technique to form a bevel joint, which is more flexible, long-lasting and smoother than other joints.
