General Information
This is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic that can be compared to some extent with the polyethylene and is manufactured in almost the same way. Polypropylene also has good chemical resistance and can be welded although it is more rigid and melts at a higher temperature. However, it is not very resistant to abrasion and outdoor conditions as it is weak against UV rays.

Main properties
- Physiologically inert
- High resistance to chemical agents
- Electrical insulator
- Low resistance to abrasion
- Excellent mechanical properties
- Can be welded
Applications
It is used on industrial facilities, for tanks to store chemical agents, as waste paper bins and containers, as coating, in machined parts, sliding components, rollers, gears and valves. It is widely used in the chemical, food and advertising industries.
