General Information

PET is a partly  crystalline thermoplastic polyester based on polyethylene terephthalate, characterised by its notable hardness. PET offers excellent dimensional stability, which is even greater than that of POM as it is practically insensitive to damp environments. Its good sliding behaviour combined with a low friction coefficient and excellent resistance to wear makes it an ideal material for moving parts. Its resistance to hot water is low but it has better resistance to acids than Nylon or POM. PET-T is a PET with an internal lubricant of PTFE that significantly reduces its coefficient of friction.

Applications
